A few select snaps from the show, the new cars were “meh” for the most part ... should have brought a good camera - my apologies for the blurry photo of the Alfa (although it looks like it would be a blur anyway it looks so fast!). The classics were the real draw with a Renault 5 turbo, a Renault 8, Mini, Pontiac and Oldsmobile wagons and a cherry Chevy all in attendance.

Agreed on the new cars. Went yesterday w/wife and kiddo to look at some of the current and new models. Wife liked the 4C, BRZ, TTRS (not the color), the 2 series, and the new Miata. Surprisingly she thought the Prius was better looking in person(! ??). I liked the new RS, Giulia QV, Camaro, Cruise, and Volt.

Overall pretty meh as nothing was really mind blowing or worth the money too us. We could swing any of those, just seems like a total waste of money IMO.

TL/DR: New cars are a waste of money.

I just moved from Houston to Singapore.

This year doesn’t seem much nicer than last year, but it is fucking amazing compared to the crap I saw in Singapore.

And the classics look pretty awesome too :)

Yep, it’s like they forgot what made cars special.

That’s the only thing I don’t like about Singapore - owning a car sucks there. The food is awesome, nice clean place, fairly safe, cool part of the world ... but the whole car buying experience is painful according to my friends that live there.

I’m with you on that 100%.

Moving sucks in general too...now I need to make new friends again.

Go to the Quay area (near the river, old warehouse district). It’s full of bars and restaurants you are bound to meet a least a few interesting folks there.

Thanks for the recommendation. But I can’t seem to find this place online.

Does it go by any other names?

Is there a particular Quay that you’re referring to or just a general area? I know about Roberston and Clarke Quay...
